Ecological and economic interests, new government regulations, and public opinion have generated greater interest in recycling plastics more and improving sustainability across all sectors and in all industries.

For high-quality applications, however, recycling is often either impossible or extremely limited. Contaminants, fillers used during the original manufacturing process, consumed stabilizers, odors, and poor performance limit the possible applications in the lowest price category to lower-quality usage.

The products in the RECYCLOBYK range have been specially developed to restabilize the recycled plastics and improve the mechanical properties. The granulated form of the products does not produce dust, thus guaranteeing safe handling and dosing. Improving mechanical stability and long-term heat stability while retaining the rheological properties offers added value and opens up a wider range of applications for the recycled material.

For example, RECYCLOBYK-4373 helps to stabilize recycled plastics by offering protection heat aging and against the negative effects of contaminants such as coating or printing ink residues during processing. A good example is recycling used battery casings. The product used for this, RECYCLOBYK-4371, has been specially developed to restabilize PP and polyolefin blends, particularly those that have been subjected to aggressive substances.
